2025 Gymnastics World Championship Targets 500 Athletes To Become Contestants
JAKARTA The 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship (AGWC) 2025 is targeted to be attended by 500 athletes from all over the world.
Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani), Ita Yuliati, said that registration would only open in January 2025.
"Registration until June 2025. Approximately, a total of around 1,000 delegates will attend. We will complete all preparations," he said, quoted on the Kemenpora website.
Ita together with the management of Persani and the President of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), Morinari Watanabe, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).
This meeting discussed Indonesia's readiness, especially the Indonesia Arena venue which will be the location of the match and the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) as a training hall for athletes.

Morinari Watanabe reminded that all readiness must be accelerated by Indonesia so that the implementation of this World Championship can run well and smoothly.
"It's great to be able to meet again and I'm happy that the Gymnastics World Championships will be held in Indonesia. The readiness is good. The implementation is only a year away and we ask for support," said Watanabe.
Artistic Gymnastics World Championship (AGWC) 2025 is scheduled to take place from 19-25 October 2025.
The numbers to be competed in this event are artistic and gameastic. Indonesia will take part to collect points for the next Olympics in 2028 in Los Angeles, United States.
