Lasut Nyanggut's Latest Version Joins The Panturas Towards A New Mini Album Full Of Exploration

JAKARTA - The rock surf unit from Jatinangor, The Panturas again greeted the listeners with a single titled 'Lasut Nyanggut' which was officially released today. Abyan Nabilio alias Acin (vocals, guitars), Rizal Taufik alias Ijal (guitar), Bagus Patria alias Gogon (bass), and Surya Fikri alias Kuya (drums), were present with their identities as the band from Tanah Sundanese.

The title of the song itself comes from Sundanese, which means failment. Not only that, the lyrics along the song also use a similar language.

The 'Lasut Nyanggut' was released in 2020, with Ricky Virgiana and White Shoes and The Couples Company. This time, the latest version comes with a differentiator in terms of instrumentation. Several collaborators were presented.

"This is the first collaboration between Panturas and Ricky Virgana as producers," said Acin in his statement, Friday, October 4.

"Recording beres, coincidentally in Kuya village, in Tanjung Sari there are friends who can play against him, his name is Muis. So just take it (record) all of you. Same, of course, there are Koh Eki (percussion) and Panji (keyboard)," he continued.

The story in this song is taken from folklore or folklore which is quite popular in Tanah Sundanese, a fairy tale about someone who goes fishing, but doesn't get fish, but is trash.

This Sundanese release is a new wave for the voyage of The Panturas, which has scheduled the launch of the upcoming mini album.

Acin, Ijal, Gogon, and Kuya prepare material that may be foreign to some listeners. With the local language used by The Panturas, they want to present the acculturation of the Sundanese elements with their magical touch, especially in the structure of songs and instruments.

With this exploration, starting with the 'Lasut Nyanggut', there is no concern that the upcoming album will not be commercially successful. The Panturas believes that this is the right way to ride where each personnel can find new things from a thick and inherent cultural background.

In order to include the material on the upcoming album, The Panturas continues to call Ricky Virgiana as producer, who will be assisted by Om Robo (Southern Beach Terror/Sundancer). In addition, there will be other collaborators who have been prepared.

"We hope to be considered cool," said Acin with a laugh.

"Indeed, I want to make a release that can channel the wishes of the children (The Panturas). But if you like it and become a pop song, thank God," he added.

For information, the upcoming mini album will come with the title Tropialika Galura which is planned to be introduced in November via La Munai Records.
