Spotify Users Can Now Listen To Songs Offline Without Downloading
JAKARTA Spotify launched the Offline Backup, a new ability to listen to songs offline without the need to download songs. This new feature was released on Thursday, October 3 for Premium account users.
Users can listen to songs when there is no network because the Backup Offline remembers the user's last activity. This feature will retrieve track songs that are inserted into queues or queues and newly played songs to save.
These songs will be used as one on a playlist that is easily accessible when users want to save data, enable aircraft mode, or are in difficult network conditions. Spotify explains that this feature relies on cache on the platform.
"To do so, we include a track that is already stored on your device as part of the song you usually listen to on Spotify (also known as cache)," Spotify said, quoted from its official website.

Interestingly, this offline playlist can be filtered and sorted by artist, user mood, and genre. Spotify says that this feature is not only released for iOS and Android, but also Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
If you are interested in using this feature, make sure that your application is premium and uses the latest version. When data or Wi-Fi is turned off, Offline Backup will appear automatically. Alternatively, you can add the desired song to the Library.
"Make sure you've listened to more than five recent songs and enabled the listening feature offline. Find this feature under Settings, then Data and Offline Savings or Storage. Look for the button instead of Listening Offline," Spotify explained.
