Ciroyom Bandung Flyover Targeted To Operate October 2024

The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation through the Bandung Class I Railway Engineering Center (BTP Bandung) has completed the construction of the Ciroyom Flyover. The flyover is targeted to be operational next month.

Head of BTP Bandung Endang Setiawan said that in order to reduce the number of accidents at the railroad crossing, DJKA through the Class I Railway Engineering Center in Bandung carried out the handling of railroad crossings at two points.

Endang explained the handling referred to by building a Flyover consisting of the Ciroyom Flyover, JPL 157B and Flyover Pusdikpom, JPL 150A.

Furthermore, Endang said that currently the Ciroyom Flyover is in preparation for operation next month. He said the construction of the flyover was also carried out to support the operation of the Feeder Train, whose departure schedule has now increased.

"Currently, the Ciroyom Flyover construction process has been completed and the operational target is in October 2024," he said in an official statement, Thursday, October 3,

Meanwhile, continued Endang, the construction progress Pusdikpom Flyover has reached 24.9 percent.

Previously, it was reported that the Bandung Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) said that the access to the Ciroyom flyover is still under construction and cannot be crossed by the public.

"We explained that the flyover itself has not actually been used to the public, the situation is still under improvement. Because there must also be additional signs," said Head of Bandung Police Traffic Unit AKBP Eko Iskandar in Bandung, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 20.

There are a number of improvements in the flyover structure to ensure the safety and smooth running of traffic during the Ciroyom Flyover which will be officially opened to the general public.

"Then there are several points that must be tidied up first so that later it can be passed," he said.
