Mandalika MotoGP Contract With Dorna Sports Ends 2031

The contract for the Mandalika MotoGP event with Dorna Sports is still seven times, aka it will still last until 2031.

This assurance was confirmed by the Commercial Director of Indonesian Tourism Development (ITDC), Troy Reza War Badminton, in Central Lombok on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

"The contract with Dorna is still seven times," Reza told reporters, reported by Antara.

The Mandalika MotoGP has so far organized three races. In a row starting from 2022, 2023, and finally 2024 which just finished last weekend.

The implementation of the Indonesian MotoGP is one of the efforts to advance sports tourism in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) which has been designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN).

Reza said that the implementation of the Indonesian MotoGP from year to year was better and the enthusiasm of the audience continued to rise because there were quite a lot of side events held.

"All of this is to support the economic growth of MSMEs so that all of them have a positive impact on the development of this area," he said.

The Spaniard, Jorge Martin, came out as the champion in the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP race. The result made him stronger at the top of the drivers' standings.

The runner-up for the 2023 season is now collecting 366 points or 21 points ahead of defending champion Francesco Bagnaia who occupies second place.
