30 Years Of Hospitals: Evidence Of Music Hobby Can Be Very Beneficial

JAKARTA - Britpop band from Jakarta, Hospitals celebrate their 30-year musical journey. Formed at the Jakarta Arts Institute in 1994, despite its hiatus, Hospitals are one example of a group that is able to maintain existence for up to three decades.

Had undergone a change in formation, currently the hospital consists of Muhammad Arief Bakrie (vocals), Marky Najoan (guitar), Mickey Najoan (keyboard), Fadli Wardhana (drums) and Shendy Adam (bass).

Reflecting on the three decades of the Hospital's journey, Adam admitted that he never thought that music could have brought him so far.

He, who used to study at the Faculty of Fine Arts, feels grateful to be able to live his music hobby as a professional.

Adam sees his band as an example for a new generation to be able to undergo less than one job.

"If we look at the millennial generation and Gen Z now, there are not only one job. I encourage them to be able to do everything well," said Shandy Adam during a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.

"We are very happy to be able to live with something that was originally just a hobby. We also believe that these young generations can do it," he continued.

The tour concert with the title 'Happy News: 30 Years of Hospital Travel' will be held in Bandung on November 16, Semarang on November 25, and Jakarta on December 14.
