Mental Health Danella Irene Becomes A Joke By Luna Maya And Deddy Corbuzier, Ariel Tatum Gives Support: You Are Not Alone

JAKARTA - Recently, the names Luna Maya and Deddy Corbuzier have been gossiped by netizens following their jokes when responding to a statement by one of Indonesia's Next Top Models (INTM) participants, Danella Ilene, who claimed to have had an eating disorder.

Eating disorder is a feeling of wanting to eat a lot and not wanting to eat at all. Ilene's story actually further underlines her success through the difficult times and depression she suffered.

"I used to be depressed and I've been through that. I already know who I am and I like myself more now," Ilene said in an INTM video clip.

Then, Luna and Deddy responded to Ilene's mental illness as a joke. Netizens consider them insensitive to Ilene's mental health.

Ilene still smiled in response to the two INTM judges. However, this did not make netizens silent. Luna and Deddy were attacked on social media.

Now Ariel Tatum also supports Ilene. The woman who was born on November 8, 1996 wrote on her Instagram account, emphasizing that Ilene was not alone.

"Sending love and my best prayers to you. Please do know that your feelings are valid and you're not alone," wrote Ariel, complementing the photo of Ilene he uploaded.

Ariel's support for Ilene is not without reason. This woman, who once performed a duet with Ari Lasso in the song Because Aku T'lah denganmu, has had a mental disorder called Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

The mental problem, known as borderline personality disorder, has even made the grandson of Koes Plus drummer Murry attempted suicide several times.

In another upload, Ariel wrote:

"We must also both learn to understand mental health as an aspect that is as important as physical health."
