Despite Being Hit By Iran Israel By An Attack On Gaza, 9 People Died

Nine Palestinians were killed and 20 injured in Israeli airstrikes against schools and institutes housing refugees in Gaza.

The attack came on Wednesday, October 2, after Israel was hit by Iranian ballistic missiles in retaliation for the deaths of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.

On Tuesday, October 1, Israeli airstrikes killed 37 people in Gaza.

Palestinian health officials said 13 people, including women and children, were killed in two Israeli attacks on two houses in Nuseirat, one of eight historic refugee camps.

Another attack on a school housing Palestinian refugee families in the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City killed 7 people, medics said.

The Israeli military said the airstrikes targeted Hamas militants operating from a command center located in the complex that previously served as Al-Shejaia Schools.

They accused Hamas of using its civilian population and facilities for military purposes, but Hamas denied it.

On Tuesday night, two separate Israeli attacks killed five Palestinians in the Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and on the outskirts of the Zeitoun city of Gaza, medical officers said.

In Khan Younis, six Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes against a tent housing refugees.

Hours later, Israeli airstrikes against a car west of Khan Younis, killed six Palestinians, medics said.
