4 Defendants Of ABH For The Murder Of A Junior High School Student In Palembang Jalani Perdana Session

PALEMBANG - The District Court (PN) Class IA Palembang, South Sumatra held the first trial to try four children in conflict with the law (ABH) of the murder of a junior high school student in Palembang City.

The trial was held behind closed doors because it involved minors and decency cases. The trial and closely monitored by the police.

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) also presented the parents of the main suspect or IS in the case. The four suspects or children are in conflict with the law (ABH) accompanied by a team of attorneys.

The attorney for the four defendants or children in conflict with the law (ABH) Hendrawan said that his party would carry out an exception to the indictment carried out by the prosecutor's office.

"After the trial for reading this indictment, tomorrow we will immediately make an exception regarding the indictment that it is not clearly incomplete," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 1.

He said that in the indictment, the prosecutor had the first and third charges regarding the Child Protection Law, including articles 340 subsidiary 338 and 285.

Meanwhile, the lawyer for the victim's family, Zahra Amalia, said that his party fully supports the legal process from the police and the prosecutor's office that has been carried out so far.

He hopes that the appropriate punishment for the children will face the law for what he has done to the victim.

The murder of a junior high school student with the initials AA was carried out by four suspects, namely IS, aged 16 years, the main perpetrators, MZ (13 years), MS (12 years), and AS (12 years) at TPU Chinese Palembang, 31 August 2024.
