Israeli Drone Hits 3 Anti-aircraft Radar Stations In Syria With Drones
JAKARTA - Israel attacked three anti-aircraft radar stations in southern Syria, including one stationed on military airfields.
The drone strike hit two radar stations west of the city of Sweida, including one station station station stationed at an air base in the area.
Reported by Reuters citing a source, Tuesday, October 1, another drone strike hit a radar station in adjacent Daraa province. This radar is part of the Syrian army's air defenses in the southern region.
Israel said the command units and paratroopers launched an attack on Lebanon on Tuesday as part of a limited ground attack.
As previously reported, Safaa Ahmed, a well-known Syrian television host, was killed along with two other people in an Israeli attack last night in Damascus, Syrian news agency SANA reported.
"The Public Authority of Radio and Television announced the death of host Safaa Ahmed as a martyr following Israel's dangerous aggression in the capital, Damascus," the report said.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense said the Israeli military targeted Damascus with drones and aircraft at around 02.00 local time from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights.
Our air defense system faced missiles and drones of aggression and shot down most of them, the ministry said, citing three civilians and nine others injured in the attack.

Video posted on social media and geolocation by CNN, suggesting an explosion occurred next to the Syrian Telecom building, west of the city's military airport.
Additional videos found geolocated by CNN showed the car caught fire after the explosion.
Iran-backed Hezbollah said it had fired a series of missiles at Israel, including at its spy agency near Tel Aviv.
