Sales In Indonesia Soar, This Is BYD's Strategic Step In The Future

JAKARTA BYD continues to show brilliant performance in the Indonesian automotive market, especially in the electric car segment. Last August, this Chinese brand managed to record impressive sales figures, proving that their models are increasingly in demand by Indonesian consumers.

According to Gaikindo data, BYD has successfully entered the top five electric car sales in Indonesia. One of their flagship models, the Seal electric sedan, managed to record 1,251 wholesales. In addition, the Atto 3 SUV recorded 992 sales, and the Dolphin compact model contributed 416 units. Overall, BYD recorded wholesales sales of 2,940 units, with retail numbers reaching 2,389 units.

Responding to this achievement, PT BYD Motor Indonesia's Head of Marketing & Communication Luther Panjaitan, admitted that he was happy and had predicted quite good sales.

"We have predicted this positive result, especially because of our participation in various automotive exhibitions," said Luther when met in Jakarta recently.

Seeing the high consumer interest in electric cars, BYD is ready to take advantage of this momentum by expanding its network. The manufacturer, which now offers four models in Indonesia, plans to build 50 new dealers by the end of the year, to provide the best service for its customers.

The dealer network is an important key for us to ensure convenience and convenience for consumers. We are optimistic that we can achieve the target of 50 dealers by the end of the year," concluded Luther.
