Investigate The Alexander Marwata-Eks Meeting Of The Head Of Yogyakarta Customs And Excise, Polda Metro Checks The Inspector General Of The Ministry Of Finance

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has examined 19 witnesses in the investigation of the meeting between the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata with the former Head of Yogyakarta Customs, Eko Darmanto. One of the dozens of witnesses is the Itjen of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

"(Witnesses) Among them have been clarified to Eko Darmanto, several Indonesian KPK employees, Itjen Kemenkeu RI," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to VOI, Tuesday, October 1.

Then, investigators have also examined several experts, including criminal law experts and criminal procedural law experts.

The next step, investigators are said to be examining several other witnesses, including Alexander Marwata. However, the timing has not been clearly conveyed.

"Surely the person concerned (Alexander Marwata) will be invited to clarify or be questioned by the Investigation Team of the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya," said Ade.

So far, investigators have only conveyed that they are still collecting evidence to determine whether or not a crime has occurred.

Meanwhile, the alleged criminal act committed by Alexander Marwata is a direct or indirect relationship committed by the KPK leadership with a suspect or other party who is related to a corruption case handled by an anti-corruption agency.

The meeting took place around March 2023. Where, the meeting occurred when the KPK was investigating Eko Darmanto in the alleged case of gratification and money laundering (TPPU).
