Phase II Cisem Gas Pipe Construction Project Encourages The Utilization Of Household Jargas
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said the construction of the Phase II Cirebon-Semarang Transmission Gas Pipeline (Cisem) Project, Batang - Cirebon - Kandang Haur, will be able to directly encourage the use of gas networks for households (jargas).
Minister Bahlil in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1, said that the construction of the regional gas pipeline transmission would eliminate the stigma of difficulty getting gas.
"If this jargas happens, the price is much cheaper than LPG, and no one else says that we have difficulty gas, and 3 kilograms of LPG goes up in price. This is the government again designing how to get these pipe channels to the household," said Minister Bahlil, quoted from Antara.
He conveyed that the inauguration of the Cisem II project which was carried out on Monday (30/9) in Central Java, will be built 245 kilometers long and will use a multi-year contract (Multi Year's Contract) based on the State Expenditure Expenditure Budget (APBN).
He said the effort was a strategic step by the government to connect the natural gas pipeline transmission network from East Java to Sumatra, with those already installed, namely the Gresik-Semarang (Gresem) network, connected to Cisem which will be connected to the South Sumatra network to West Java (SSWJ), and in the future a Dumai - Sei Mangkei (Dusem) natural gas pipeline will also be built in Sumatra.
He said in the Phase II Cisem Gas Pipeline Project, the budget disbursed was IDR 2.7 trillion from the APBN which will be carried out for 18 months for three years which is targeted to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
