EigenLayer Ready To Launch EIGEN Token With A Valuation Of IDR 101 Trillion

JAKARTA - EigenLayer, an innovative restaking protocol operating on the Ethereum network, is ready to launch the highly anticipated EIGEN token by the crypto community. After nearly five months since the first airdrop, the token will start trading tonight, to be exact at 9 p.m. Pacific time (12 p.m. East time). This launch marks an important step in the evolution of blockchain technology and is expected to attract great interest from global investors.

Reporting from Decrypt, the Eigen Foundation, the organization behind EigenLayer, announced through social media that the EIGEN token will be available for trading on some of the leading crypto exchanges. Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, and Bitfinex, also states that they will be the first platforms to list these tokens. Users will be able to trade them with other crypto pairs such as Bitcoin and Tether, providing high flexibility and liquidity for traders.

The EIGEN token will be launched with a total initial supply of around 1.67 billion tokens. However, like Ethereum, EIGEN has a dynamic supply that will increase over time. Currently, futures contracts for EIGEN are trading at a price of 4.03 US Dollars (Rp60,994) on the Aevo platform. This projects a fully-dluted valuation (globally-luted value/FDV) from EIGEN to reach more than 6.7 billion US Dollars (Rp101 trillion).

During this year, about 200 million EIGEN tokens have been distributed to early users and ecosystem partners through two large airdrops, which are expected to be the initial supply circulating in the market. This distribution aims to expand the user base and increase token adoption on various platforms.

EigenLayer introduced innovation in the crypto world by allowing users to restaking their crypto assets on several blockchains at once. This protocol is designed for users who are already staking on Ethereum (ETH), so they can use assets that have been staked in various other protocols without the need to increase new capital.

Staking is a process in which users 'lock' their crypto assets to support the security and performance of blockchain networks, and receive rewards as compensation. With EigenLayer, users who have staked in Ethereum can leverage these assets for other protocols, expand the chances of getting rewarded. This provides greater flexibility and additional income potential for stakers.
