Atta Halilintar And BASE Entertainment Will Present Garuda Animated Films At My Chest

JAKARTA - BASE Entertainment proudly presents its newest project, the film Animasi Garuda at Dadaku, which will be launched exclusively at the IDEAFEST 2024 event at JCC Senayan, Jakarta.

In this project BASE Entertainment collaborated with KAWI Animation, Springboard, and AHHA Corpora founded by Atta Halilintar.

With the same vision and spirit, through the animated medium, this film raises a strong message about passion, hard work and friendship, in a more dynamic and rich visual form.

"The film Garuda in Dadaku has succeeded in captivating the hearts of the Indonesian people and becoming part of a popular culture. With this animated adaptation, we want to continue positive values such as the spirit of never giving up, hard work, and brotherhood," said Shanty Harmayn as producer and co-founder of BASE Entertainment quoted by VOI from a media broadcast, Monday, September 30.

"Not only that, we hope that this animation can bring the spirit of optimism of Indonesian animation to the global stage," he added.

The animated film Garuda di Dadaku will be produced by KAWI Animation, an animation studio that is a subsidiary of BASE Entertainment. Ronny Gani, as CEO and Co-Founder of KAWI Animation, is the person appointed to direct this animated film.

Ronny is one of the most iconic Indonesian animators to have been involved in many Hollywood giant projects such as The Avengers, The Mandalorian and others. This film will be KAWI Animation's debut work.

"Annimates in Indonesia are experiencing quite rapid developments. I believe this is the time to show off Indonesian animators, to create truly quality works and on par with global standards," explained Ronny.

"The Garuda project in Dadaku is our opportunity to produce a work that can be enjoyed by film lovers, animations and families of football lovers in Indonesia," said Ronny Gani.

Atta Halilintar, known as an influencer and football fan, is very enthusiastic about being involved in this project.

"I and the whole family have always liked football. That's also my reason for own futsal club. For football matters, I'm serious in this field. I believe that this animated film can be a way to introduce and foster interest and love for football," said Atta Halilintar.

The legendary story of Garuda in Dadaku, created by Shanty Harmayn and Salman Aristo, was previously present in the form of live-action and has succeeded in captivating the hearts of millions of Indonesian viewers.

The film Garuda Di Dadaku was first launched in 2009, directed by Ifa Isfansyah. The second film airs in 2011 and is directed by Rudi Soedjarwo.

Then, this IP was adapted into a series in 2014 and 2015. This series is directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko and Ifa Isfansyah. Now it will be revived in the form of an animated film.
