Increase Investment Competitiveness, Rosan Asks For Regulation Improvement, Improvement Of Services To Acceleration Of Licensing
JAKARTA - Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani revealed that in increasing investment competitiveness, it is necessary to improve regulations, improve services, and accelerate business licensing according to authority both at the central and regional levels.
"We appeal to all Ministries/Institutions (K/L) and district/city provincial governments to provide the best service," he said at the online Investment Service Award, Monday, September 30.
Rosan said that his party had issued risk-based business licensing from August 4, 2021 to September 27, 2024, totaling 10,382,846 Business Identification Numbers (NIB) issued through the Online Single Submission (OSS).
"This shows that business licensing is easier and gets more certainty and the majority of the permits we give are micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)," he said.
However, Rosan said that medium and large businesses with a higher level of risk still need time because verification from ministries/agencies and local governments and fulfillment of requirements that still take a long time.

Rosan explained that the government already has provisions through service level agreement that must be carried out and obeyed.
"The Ministry of Investment will issue a policy in the form of a positive fictitious form, which will provide more certainty to the business world. If we convey it at another ministry, we need 3-5 days so that it can be obeyed," he said.
Rosan said this would provide better certainty and ask for synergy cooperation from all relevant parties related to the investment ministry.
