The Arrival Of Scoot Airlines Is A Momentum To Increase Flight Activities At Kertajati Airport
The inaugural arrival of the aircraft from Scoot Airlines at West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati on Saturday, September 28, from Singapore, is said to be a momentum to increase flight activity there.
"We (yesterday) welcomed Scoot Airlines' inaugural flight from Singapore. We hope this will be a momentum for this airport crowd," said Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin in a statement in Bandung, quoted from Antara, Monday, September 30.
At this early stage, Scoot Airlines, a subsidiary from Singapore Airlines, served flights to Kertajati twice a week. But Bey is optimistic that in the future, the route will increase to every day.
"It's only been two times a week, but we hope there will be an increase every day," he said.
Furthermore, Bey also believes that tourist visits to destinations in West Java will increase with this new route.
In fact, Bey said that he had instructed the West Java Tourism and Culture Office to aggressively promote West Java tourism to Singapore.
"Hopefully visits to West Java tourist destinations will also increase, we have a lot of good tourism. I have asked the West Java Department of Tourism to continue promoting West Java tourism to Singapore," he said.
In addition, in the near future, the pride of the football team of West Java residents Persib Bandung will play an away match against a team from Singapore in the AFC Championsip League 2. This is possible for the Persib team to fly from Kertajati Airport.
"Later on, Persib will also play in Singapore, hopefully starting from here and the weight," said Bey.
