Acting Governor Of Banten Wants To Invest PIK 2 Absorb Local Workers

SERANG - Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar hopes that investment in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area will become a new center of economic growth and can absorb local workers.

The Banten Provincial Government welcomes the development of international-scale NICE in the central area of new economic growth in Banten Province.

"This will be able to absorb quite a lot of local workers," he said in Serang, Sunday, September 29.

Moreover, this NICE is projected to be the largest in Southeast Asia by standing on a land of about 40 hectares, and for the construction of this first phase, the investment value disbursed reached more than IDR 3 trillion, he said.

Al Muktabar said that the construction of this NICE will be carried out in the next few stages with a development time span of around one year. "It is targeted that later on September 25, 2025, this NICE will start operating," he said.

According to Al Muktabar, the development of a new economic center in PIK 2, is a form of the government's efforts in developing development in Banten Province based on investment, which will contribute to increasing labor absorption.

"And we all know that Banten Province is one of the regions with the main investment objectives that are included in the top five nationally. Hopefully, this area will continue to develop with more complete and environmentally friendly infrastructure," he said.

The owner and founder of Agung Sedayu Group, Sugianto Kusuma, added that the construction in this first phase of investment reached around Rp. 3 trillion, later for the next stage it was around Rp. 1 trillion, bringing the total to Rp. 4 trillion. In the second, hotels and other facilities will be built.

NICE is divided into three zones. Zone one is intended for concerts, zones two and three for exhibitions and meetings. In addition, we also have a courtyard where there is a culinary center," said Sugianto.
