Foreign Minister Retno: Stop Normalizing Israel's Attack On Lebanon
New YORK - Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi responded to the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah due to Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon on Friday 27 September.
Israel has already claimed that it killed the Secretary-General of Hezbollah. Hezbollah's follow-up confirmed that it was true that their leader had died.
"When we took out with several OKI Foreign Ministers, we mentioned through a spokesman, namely the Saudi Foreign Minister and Jordan, that while we were in this building, at the same time tension and conflict increased in Lebanon," said Retno, quoted by ANTRA, Sunday, September 29.
He highlighted the message conveyed by the delegates during the High-Level Meeting Week at the UN General Assembly on warnings not to let Lebanon become a new Gaza.
"Don't let what happens in Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza become a new normal. We have to stop all of this. What happens in Lebanon makes us stronger to finish it in this building," said the Foreign Minister.
The Balls are on the UN Security Council, especially veto rights holders, they can produce decisions that stop Israel's atrocities, the Foreign Minister stressed.
