SKK Migas And PHE Strengthen Collaboration To Improve Oil And Gas Production

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) and Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) sub-holding continue to strengthen collaboration as an effort to increase oil and gas production in 2024.

Meanwhile, SKK Migas held a meeting with PHE to be able to encourage Cooperation Contract Contract Contractors (KKKS) programs that are part of SHU PHE to achieve the targets that have been set.

Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto gave direct directions at the meeting which was then followed by discussions to find solutions to existing obstacles, as well as innovations and out-of-the-box work methods that could be carried out so that within 3 (three) months in the future the performance of KKKS operations in SHU PHE could increase and achieve the target.

Dwi also asked to start preparing for the implementation of the 2025 program, whatever can be prepared to be done, so that in January 2025 the program can run.

"We express our appreciation to PHE Group management for the facilitation of this meeting. For this reason, we invite each other to be open with clarity of mind and determination so that discussions can run in the spirit of collaboration and result-oriented to be able to make the most optimal contribution to national oil and gas production. Currently, the concentration is production, production, and production. Gas has started to be integrated, our oil is still struggling, "said Dwi in his statement, Sunday, September 29.

Dwi said that Pertamina has controlled the majority of oil and gas blocks in Indonesia, so of course Pertamina's role in upstream is very dominant. The state and SKK Migas are very dependent on Pertamina's aggressiveness.

Dwi added that this meeting must be followed up in focus group discussions (FGD) activities to discuss the mechanism of Pertamina's partnership with other parties.

"Perhaps we need to make changes to the regulations so that the government's expectations can be met, because the achievement of oil and gas lifting will be greatly determined by the performance of the KKKS under Pertamina," explained Dwi.

Regarding commercialization, Dwi asked that there be organizations that handle this so that it can strengthen the legal aspect. "The key is that no production should be disrupted due to commercialization administrative problems," he asked.

Furthermore, Dwi conveyed to Pertamina about the importance of asset management, because this is a state asset so it must be handled properly. At the KKKS there must be a special organization assigned to this matter including the KKKS within the scope of PHE's SHU. Assets must be properly recorded and have security.

"The success of the development well drilling target which is currently targeted to be realized is around 932 development wells in 2024. Regarding the drilling of KKKS contribution development within Pertamina is very large. This must also be a concern how to catch up until the end of the year so that the target can be achieved. Regarding the needs of the term fiscal term, we are ready to fight for it, "said Dwi.

Chalid also conveyed developments related to the issue of commercialization and application for approval related to PJBG to SKK Migas.

Chalid conveyed how Pertamina has paid attention to asset management, including its security. He also informed that the potential of LPG in PHE ONWJ,ipolo and Jambi Merang along with existing progress, among others, in Jambi Merang, has already been studied. As for Goodminton, it is currently in a beauty contest.
