Rara Si Pawang Hujan Dipastika Tak Ada Di MotoGP 2024 Mandalika

LOMBOK - In Journey Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) company ensures that it does not use rain handler services to overcome the weather at the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara.

"(Rain handlers) are not (used again). So we are humans, we leave everything to God," said Commercial Director of PT Pembangunan Wisata Indonesia (ITDC) Troy Reza War Kujuk, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 29.

The rain handler service was used during the first series of the Mandalika MotoGP in 2022, namely the Rara Istiati Wulandari rain handler.

However, in the last two series of the Mandalika MotoGP (2023 and 2024), rain handler services are no longer used to overcome the weather in the circuit area.

Troy said he and his various religious teams only relied on the power of prayer so that weather conditions were conducive to major racing events.

"We pray for help (with conducive weather). Alhamdulillah, several times we feel helped, events like this are all helped," he said.

He also asked for prayer support from all Indonesian people so that the implementation of the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP runs safely and smoothly with conducive weather conditions.

"The most important thing is safe. Although some racers also want it to rain, it's because the champion of the track is wet," he said.

The Mandalika 2024 MotoGP event took place during September 27-19. The qualifying session and the Indonesian MotoGP Sprint race took place in the first two days in sunny and hot weather. Meanwhile, the main race of the Indonesian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday (28/9), at 14.00 WIB.
