FIFA Announces 12 2025 Club World Cup Stadiums In America

JAKARTA - FIFA announced 12 stadiums from 11 locations that will host the 2025 Club World Cup matches. The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was officially designated as the final location on July 13, 2025.

The stadiums to be used include the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium in Philadelphia, and the Lumen Field Stadium in Seattle. In addition, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, which is the final location of the 1994 World Cup, will also host, along with the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, which was also used at the 1994 World Cup.

The 2025 Club World Cup will be attended by 32 teams from around the world.

Club World Cup spokesman Kristel Valencia-Savage said FIFA president Gianni Infantino could not provide further comment on the selection of this location.

However, the FIFA decision has drawn criticism from Fifpro, an international union organization, highlighting the busy schedule of tournaments that take place at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

Fifpro argues that this schedule will shorten the rest time and recovery of players, as well as ignore their mental and physical health, including family time.

The 2025 Club World Cup will involve eight groups consisting of four teams each. The two best teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages of the system.

Several teams that have been confirmed to qualify for the tournament include top clubs from Europe, South America, North and Central America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Boca Juniors, Palmeiras, and Seattle Sounders.
