Russian Serangan Bersurut-turut Ke Rumah Sakit Sumy Ukraina Tewaskan 6 Orang

JAKARTA - Two consecutive Russian attacks on a medical center in Sumy in northeastern Ukraine on Saturday morning killed six people.

The first attack killed 1 person and damaged the ceiling of several hospital floors. The evacuation of patients and staff began, said Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Saturday, September 28.

When people were evacuated, Russia attacked again, killing five more people.

Attacks on the city of Sumy and Sumy territory have become more frequent since Ukrainian forces launched operations in the Kursk region, Russia's neighbor, in August and seized dozens of settlements.

The city of Sumy is located only 32 km (20 miles) from Russia's borders and Russian troops have attacked the territory and the city with drones and guided bombs.

Klymenko did not specify what weapons were used in Saturday's attack but local authorities said the attack was carried out by a drone.

The Ukrainian air force previously said its troops shot down 69 of the 73 drones in a Russian attack overnight covering two ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles.

About 15 Russian strike drones were destroyed by air defenses on the outskirts and in the capital Kyiv, the military administration said there.
