Nepal's Floods And Landslides Killed 10 People, 7 Others Lost
JAKARTA - The continuous rain in Nepal has caused floods and landslides that killed 10 people and seven people have been missing over the past 24 hours.
Most of the rivers in the Himalayan country overflowed through roads and bridges, authorities said.
Police tried to clear the debris and reopen roads for traffic after landslides blocked highways in 28 locations, police spokesman Dan Bahadur Karki said.
Heavy rains are likely to continue until Sunday morning and the weather is likely to be sunny after that, "a weather forecaster Binu Maharjan told Reuters on Saturday, September 28.
Most of the central and eastern regions experience moderate to very heavy rainfall, ranging from 50 mm to more than 200 mm.
