Heru Budi Says DKI Civil Service Police Unit ASN Involved In Online Gambling Will Be Developed By Psychologists
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that the state civil servants (ASN) of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP who are involved in online gambling will be fostered by psychologists.
This guidance is carried out before the application of sanctions to them. The first level of sanctions that will be imposed are in the form of a warning.
"We use the first 3 days to use psychologists. Later we will be given more lessons and warnings and later there will be physical health and test activities," said Heru when met in Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 27.
In addition, Heru will also gather families from ASN to receive counseling to avoid online gambling activities.
"Then the husband and wife will be collected, because online gambling is a private domain, yes. Approximately 3-4 days they will be given knowledge," said Heru.
On the one hand, Heru asked the public not to directly judge 165 civil servants of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP who were said to be involved in online gambling by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
According to Heru, the DKI Provincial Government needs to clarify the names of Civil Servants Satpol PP who are reported to be PPATK playing online gambling.
"It's like this, we can't necessarily judge it. We have to be asked one by one and now we are in the process of asking questions," said Heru at the Jakarta International Velodrome, East Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.

PPATK found 165 civil servants in the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP playing online gambling. The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also sent a letter to the Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin to convey this. The letter numbered e.0519/P4.01.00 which was signed on September 10, 2024.
"We hereby convey that based on PPATK data sources, there are 165 civil servants in your work environment who are indicated to be carrying out online gambling activities, with names as attached," wrote DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Secretary Dina Himawati in a letter.
In the letter, the names of civil servants who carry out online gambling activities and the nominal transactions they carry out. The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also asked Arifin to provide guidance to his employees.
"In this regard, so that you immediately clarify and provide personnel guidance by referring to the provisions governing the discipline and code of ethics of Civil Servants," said Dina.
Some time ago, Heru indeed asked for data on the identities of online gambling players in Jakarta to the Online Judi Eradication Task Force. After obtaining this data, Heru will look for anyone from the DKI Provincial Civil Servants (ASN) and recipients of social assistance (bansos) who play online gambling.
Heru emphasized that he would impose sanctions on ASN DKI Jakarta Provincial Government who were caught playing online gambling. The sanctions are regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.
