Toyota Presents New GR86 Improvement, More Fun To Drive At Circuits And Highways

JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) presents New GR86 which has received increased driving performance from GAZOO Racing (GR), making driving experience more challenging and able to understand the driver's instincts.

This increase is the result of input from racers and sports car enthusiasts, which makes this car very fun to drive, both on the race circuit track and on daily mobility. Interesting isn't it?

The second generation of Toyota GR86 was built on the TNGA platform, accompanied by increased engine performance and a touch of racing on steering and suspension components, to achieve high driving performance. PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) presents a New GR86 whose performance limit is even higher, to strengthen the unique driving experience of GR Pure and provide a joy of GR from behind its wheel, said Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Henry Tanoto, in his official statement received, Friday, September 27.

New GR86 character improvement

The touch presented at GR86 includes increasing the character of shock absorbers to provide contact with more optimal asphalt while maintaining the response of a typical sports car. GR collaborates with Sachs (ZF) to provide the most appropriate shock absorber for this sport car character. Electric Power Steering (EPS) has been upgraded to provide more intuitive handling and natural response when interacting with the driver.

FA24 2.387 cc 4-cylinder boxer performance is still very adequate. The advanced D-4S technology is able to provide the best thermal efficiency, thus producing strong power output and torque. The maximum power issue can reach 235 PS at 7,000 rpm and the peak torque of 250 Nm at 3,700 rpm is proof of how entertaining the engine's performance is. New GR86 utilizes rear wheels (RWD) drivers.
