Lodewijk Concerning The Minister's Regulation For Golkar: We Are Waiting For The Ministry's Calculations

JAKARTA - Former Secretary General of the Golkar Party, Lodewijk F Paulus spoke about the ministerial allocation for his party in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Lodewijk said his party was still waiting for the calculations of the ministry's post that Prabowo needed.

"We don't know that, I said we'll just have to wait for the story again. Because the DPR is still waiting," said Lodewijk, Friday, September 27.

The reason, continued Lodewijk, is that there are several ministries that are separated and eliminated. The calculations, he said, also apply to the DPR which will determine the board's equipment (AKD) to become a ministry partner.

"Usually, if the ministry like this, for example, say Kominfo, there is a broadcaster, there is TVRI, a lot, if we also calculate it means that one AKD can be a burden? Now that is calculated, there is something like that. There is a light burden, that's what we say is waiting for the DPR," explained Lodewijk.

"Then we will formulate proportionally with the appropriate load, approximately oh (ministries, ed) what commission is included, in our turn it turns out that the commission is still fat, is the burden too much, now maybe friends know there will be adjustments from the number of commissions," continued the Deputy Speaker of the DPR.

Therefore, Lodewijk emphasized that Golkar would not intervene in Prabowo's prerogative as President. He also respects Prabowo's move to invite all political party leaders to be asked for his opinion in the preparation of the cabinet structure in his government.

"The name is the preparation of this cabinet, it is the prerogative of an elected president. If Pak Prabowo calls, it's good, right, it means that he also asks for input, that he is the president who has a mandate, who has a prerogative, not only does he say 'this is what I want', but he invites other parties with good input, "said Lodewijk.

"Because again there is a target that will be achieved if in 5 years, 2045 is not too far away. Starting from now say nutritious food, remember that there is one strategic goal how Indonesian children become healthy, become strong, so it's big then in turn they can compete with children from other countries who may say people who have developed," he concluded.
