Antam's Assets Grow 35 Percent In The Last 4 Years

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or Antam, part of PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (MIND ID), recorded a significant increase in asset performance in the last four years.

Antam Corporate Secretary Faisal Alkadrie said from 2020 to 2023, Antam's total assets jumped by 35 percent with an average annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.5 percent.

In 2020, the company's assets will be at IDR 31.729 trillion, and will continue to grow to IDR 32.916 trillion in 2021. At its peak at the end of 2023, Antam reported total assets of IDR 42.85 trillion, a sharp increase of 27 percent compared to 2022 which reached IDR 33.64 trillion.

Then in the first half of 2024, the company's total assets reached IDR 39.18 trillion, showing sustainable growth stability.

"The current year's traffic in 2023 reached IDR 3.08 trillion, which is a reflection of the company's profitability performance," said Faisal quoting Antara.

This growth was achieved through effective cost control and optimization of the company's main commodity production and sales performance such as nickel, gold, and bauxite.

Antam's main commodity production and sales rate also supports the achievement of Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) which reached IDR 6.55 trillion in 2023.

In addition, Antam managed to maintain profitability with a gross profit of Rp6.31 trillion and a operating profit of Rp2.62 trillion, which strengthened his financial position.

A significant increase can also be seen from the company's cash balance and cash equivalents, which has more than doubled, from Rp4.48 trillion in 2022 to Rp9.21 trillion at the end of 2023.

Faisal said this spike reached 106 percent, thereby strengthening Antam's financial foundations to face challenges in the future.

"Overall, this achievement shows that Antam continues to strengthen his position as one of the key players in the national mining sector, focusing on operational efficiency and a sustainable growth strategy," said Faisal.
