Meta Officially Stop Production Headset Quest Pro

JAKARTA Meta, a California-centric technology company, has stopped production of the Meta Quest Pro. Now, the company will focus on selling the remaining units of the virtual reality headset (VR).

Quest Pro production was officially discontinued because the company has released its newest headset, namely Quest 3S. Not only stopping Quest Pro production, Meta has also stopped producing Quest 2 so that they can focus on newer devices.

"With Quest 3S available, we have officially stopped the sale of Quest 2 and Pro. We will sell the remaining headsets until the end of the year or until they run out, any of which goes first," Meta said on its official website.

Quest Pro is the most expensive headset of Meta. This device was sold for US$1,499 (Rp22 million), but the price has been cut to US$99999 (Rp15 million) to attract more enthusiasts. However, Meta still faces sales challenges.

Quoting from 9to5mac, reviews regarding the use of this headset are quite diverse. Many praise Quest Pro because of its very detailed graphics display, comfortable use of its device, appreciation of its control, to its work-supporting function.

However, not a few have criticized this device for some shortcomings, such as its limited battery life to less beneficial functions for premium users. According to some people, the price of the four digits does not match what is presented.

Arstechnica is one of the parties who criticized this device. According to them, the Meta Quest Pro can be recommended easily if the price is still in the range of Rp. 9 million to Rp. 12 million. Unfortunately, the Price of the Quest Pro is much more expensive than the basic model.

When the price starts to be lowered to the range of Rp. 15 million, this device looks better even though it is not useful to buy. At a fairly high price, Quest Pro is not equivalent to the features and various functions presented on the device.
