KPK Investigate Alleged Corruption Of Mining Business Permits In East Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of corruption related to mining business permits (IUP) in East Kalimantan. This step has been carried out since 19 September.

"The KPK has started an investigation into alleged corruption in the case of processing mining business permits in East Kalimantan," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White BUILDING, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 26.

Tessa mengatakan saat ini ada tiga tersangka yang sudah ditetapkan. Proses penyidikan sedang berjalan. Untuk inisisi dan jabatan tersangka belum bisa disampaikan saat ini, ungkapnya.

As previously reported, the KPK searched a number of locations in East Kalimantan to look for evidence of alleged corruption.

Based on information, this forced effort targeted the residence of former Governor of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) Awang Faroek Ishak on Sei Barito Street, Port Village, Samarinda Kota District on Tuesday, September 24.

This search has been carried out since Saturday, September 21. However, the results have not been conveyed by the anti-corruption commission.
