Grammys Joke Predicting P Diddy Will Go to Jail 24 Years Ago Is Now Highlighted By Netizens

JAKARTA - The legal problems faced by rapper Sean Combs alias P Diddy, related to sex trafficking and extortion, have become the focus of many parties. The case has made many videos and photos of American celebrities related to the rapper a hot topic on social media.

The X account @TheTLCVault recently uploaded a video featuring comedian Rosie O'Donnell with three members of the girl group TLC, namely Lisa Lopes, Rozonda Thomas, and Tionne Watkins. The video was taken backstage at the Grammy Awards in 2000.

O'Donnell, who was trusted as the host at the time, met TLC who were nominated for several categories.

The comedian then threw a joke, in which P Diddy's name was mentioned.

"Want to hear my joke?" asked O'Donnell to the three members of TLC. "Ready? This is good. See if you like it."

"There are many (musicians who received) multiple nominations this year. Lauryn Hill got four, TLC got eight, and Sean Combs five to ten."

Lopes and Thomas were taken aback by the joke and burst out laughing.

"Get it? I mean, he's going to jail?" O'Donnell continued, causing Thomas to burst out laughing and hug the comedian.

It didn't stop there, O'Donnell told that she had another joke about Diddy.

"I don't mean it in a bad way, I mean, he's a nice guy and he really sings (sing sing). Oops!" she said while covering her mouth.

The three TLC members burst out laughing in response to the joke. The term "sing sing" used is similar to the name of a maximum security prison in New York, namely Sing Sing Correctional Facility.

Netizens responded to the joke, calling O’Donnell’s remarks a 24-year-old prediction of P. Diddy’s case.

“Great woman who knows how evil Diddy is,” wrote one netizen.

“A joke that stands the test of time,” said another.

“Talk about a true prediction?” wrote another.
