The Ministry Of PUPR Has Completed 15 PLBNs For 10 Years Of Jokowi's Government, Here Are The Details
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of 15 Cross-Border Posts (PLBN) throughout Indonesia for a decade of the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Quoted from an upload on the official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Thursday, September 26, PUPR explained that PLBN was built to become the front homepage of pride as a large nation and create new centers of growth in the outermost region.
In addition, PLBN was also built to realize equitable development and uphold state sovereignty.
"The Ministry of PUPR continues its commitment to advancing the country's borders through the construction of PLBN throughout Indonesia. The Ministry of PUPR has completed 15 PLBNs in 10 years," explained PUPR.
As for 2015-2019 based on Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 6 of 2015, there were seven PLBNs built and inaugurated by President Jokowi in three provinces, namely PLBN Aruk in Sambas, West Kalimantan, PLBN Entikong in Sanggau, West Kalimantan, PLBN Badau in Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, and PLBN Mota'ain in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara.
Then, there are PLBN Motamasin in Malacca, East Nusa Tenggara, PLBN Wini in North Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara, and PLBN Skouw in Jayapura, Papua.
Next according to Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2019, PLBN development will be continued in the 2019-2024 period, consisting of 11 PLBN spread across five provinces. Of these, there is one PLBN that was inaugurated by President Jokowi in 2021, namely PLBN Sota in Merauke, South Papua.
Currently, there are seven new PLBNs that have been completed, namely PLBN Serasan in Natuna, Riau Islands, PLBN Jagoi Babang in Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, PLBN Sei Mosquito in Nunukan, North Kalimantan, and PLBN Labang in Nunukan, North Kalimantan.
Then, PLBN Long Nawang in Malinau, North Kalimantan, PLBN Napan in North Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara, and PLBN Yeyetkun in Boven Digoel, South Papua.

Meanwhile, PUPR said, there are still three PLBNs that are currently being completed, namely PLBN Sei Kelik in Sintang, West Kalimantan, PLBN Long Midang in Nunukan, North Kalimantan, and PLBN Oepoli in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.
It is known, the construction of PLBN includes core buildings and various supporting facilities and infrastructure, such as warehouses for goods and transits, offices and guesthouses, mess, water tower buildings, guard posts, powerhouses, TPS buildings, utilities buildings, x-ray cabin bagsgage and metal detectors.
In addition to having the main function of being a customs, immigration, quarantine and security post, PLBN is also equipped with socio-economic facilities such as markets, rest areas, food stalls to toserba. Thus, bringing tangible benefits in improving the welfare of the local community.
