PDIP Denies Tia Rahmania Was Fired Because Of Nurul Ghufron's 'Sentil' About Ethical Violations
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP for PDI-P Honorary Affairs (PDIP) Komarudin Watubun said the dismissal of elected DPR RI member Tia Rahmania was not related to her statement alluding to ethical violations of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron.
This step is the aftermath of a legislative election dispute (pileg) which was resolved internally through the party court.
"It has nothing to do with the process (of dismissal, ed) that this took place before the affair (Tia alluded to the ethical violation of Nurul Ghufron, ed)," said Komarudin when contacted by reporters, Thursday, September 26.
"So don't turn it around. It's as if there is a business with the KPK. It doesn't exist like that," he continued.
The party court is indeed an internal normal process, explained Komarudin. Apart from Tia, there were also other cadres who were fired until they were canceled as legislators, namely Rahmad Handoyo from the Electoral Region (Dapil) of Central Java V.
"So specifically for Tia with Rahmat Handoyo, they are two of them being sued by their own internals. Tia was sued in the party court by Allah and Rahmat was sued by Didik Haryadi. Well, the lawsuit was submitted, processed in the party court, then the court convened," he said.
From this process, it was found that there was a shift in sound. There was something that he shifted internally, someone shifted it from outside, from external to internal, "said Komarudin.
Tia and Rahmad, continued Komarudin, then could not prove the value of their voices. "While the reporter can prove with his C1 that there is a shift in votes there," he asserted.
Furthermore, the party court recommended these two cadres to resign or be dismissed. "But by Tia and Handoyo, they all don't want to resign," said Komarudin.
"So all of our organizational mechanisms are implemented, and finally they two don't want to resign, so that's part of the dissident against the party court's decision to sanction dismissal," he said.
As previously reported, an elected member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tia Rahmania, was canceled even though she had the highest valid votes in the Banten I electoral district. He is said to have not met the requirements because he has been dismissed by the PDI-P (PDIP).
This is written in the Decree of the Indonesian KPU Number 1368 of 2024 which was signed by Mochammad Afifuddin as Chairman of the KPU on September 23.
"Determining the change in the determination of the elected candidates for members of the House of Representatives in the 2024 General Election against the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle for the Elections of Central Java V and Banten I as stated in the attachment to the decision which is an inseparable part of this decision," the decision was quoted as saying, Wednesday, September 25.
This decision comes into effect on the date of stipulation, still in the same regulation.

The Indonesian KPU then appointedction Commission Triyana as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives elected in the Banten I electoral district to replace Tia. This historian has 36,516 valid votes.
"Replace the elected candidate on behalf of Tia Rahmania (the valid vote rating to I, serial number 2). Tia Rahmania no longer meets the requirements to become a member of the DPR because she is dismissed from party members," wrote a statement on the list of elected candidates displayed on the KPU website.
