DPK BSI Achieves IDR 297.78 Trillion Until August 2024
JAKARTA - The collection of third party funds (DPK) of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) reached IDR 297.78 trillion or grew 16.26 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) until August 2024.
One of these performances was supported by the management of payroll funds of Rp. 21 trillion or more than 1.2 million customers.
"Currently, BSI continues to focus on developing cheap funds in the retail segment. One of them is through the payroll system. Through this payroll, it is one of the initial gates to attract the sharia transaction ecosystem," said BSI Sales and Distribution Director Anton Sukarna in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday 26 September.
BSI continues to strive to maintain positive performance through optimizing low-cost funds, which in the same period rose rapidly to 22.15 percent.
Cheap funds or CASA (current account saving accounts) compiled by BSI until June 2024 reached IDR 184 trillion, growing 21.65 percent on an annual basis. The number of payroll customers reached 1.1 million. Meanwhile, the DPK reached IDR 297 trillion or grew 17.5 percent in the same period.
BSI has collaborated with more than 1,400 institutions related to payroll. This collaboration includes payment payments, employee financing, and other financial service transactions.
Anton said payroll is a retail business bridge to enter financing with minimal risk. Where in August 2024, BSI's payroll non-performing financing (NPF) was below 1 percent.
"This shows that the quality of financing uses a healthy payroll system and has a positive impact on retail business growth," he said.

Today, BSI strengthens payroll cooperation by cooperating with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN). Acting Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto said BSI and BKN signed a cooperation agreement to distribute 2,374 civil servants' salaries and PPPK BKN throughout Indonesia.
"This collaboration is the beginning for BKN to jointly develop Islamic financial literacy in Indonesia. We hope that this synergy will encourage optimization of the use of sharia services, especially in the BKN environment," he said.
