Fugitive Arisan Bodong Asal Aceh Arrested Whilefoya-foya In Bali

NAGAN RAYA - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Nagan Raya Police, Aceh Province arrested ND (27 years), a woman from Nagan Raya, Aceh, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of a fraudulent social gathering in an area in Kuta, Denpasar, Bali Province. The case has resulted in losses to the victims reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.

"The arrest of the suspect ND was also assisted by personnel from the Jatanras Unit of the Bali Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Iptu Vitra Ramadani, to ANTARA reporters, Wednesday, September 25.

The arrest of the suspect ND was successfully carried out on September 22, after previously the suspect was suspected of running away since early 2024.

Iptu Vitra Ramadani said the arrest of the suspect ND was suspected of committing a criminal act of fraud and embezzlement of money using a fake social gathering mode.

"During the arrest process by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, assisted by the Jatanras Unit of the Bali Police, it took place safely and well without any resistance against officers," he continued.

Previously, the suspect's fraudulent social gathering fraud mode was to lure the victims he knew to play social gatherings with promised income of up to Rp52.5 million per month.

To convince the victims, the perpetrator directly quoted the contributions to the victims' homes with the names of other arisan members, who were later identified as only fictitious names, aka bulging.

Iptu Vitra Ramdani said that the suspect ND was suspected of having started his action since September 28, 2023, where one of the victims FZ (46 years old) was promised to receive an arisan but the money had not been handed over to the victim.

Furthermore, in the same month, victim FZ heard the news that ND had fled with all the social gathering money that had been embezzled from his victims.

"The victim went to the suspect's house, of course ND was no longer at home and his house was empty," said Vitra.

Feeling that he was a victim of the fake social gathering dealer, the FZ victim finally reported the incident to the Nagan Raya Police on January 30, 2024.

Based on the report, the police immediately carried out an investigation by examining witnesses and victims.

"At least 30 victims have reported to the police, of the total losses to the victims, more than half a billion," he explained.

Currently, the suspect is at the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters, Aceh after being brought in from Bali for further investigation.

In this case, the suspect ND is suspected of violating Article 378 Juncto Article 372 Juncto Article 64 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
