Sukabumi Police Member Slashed During Brawl Students' Lerai

SUKABUMI - A police officer in Sukabumi, West Java, was stabbed when he was about to disperse a motorcycle fighter who was suspected of carrying out a brawl. A member of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cireunghas Police, Brigadier Ihsan (28), received two stab wounds to his back.

Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP Rita Suwadi said the stabbing took place last Sunday. in Nagrog Village, Cireunghas Village and District, Sukabumi Regency.

The sad thing about the stabbing was two minors who were still students.

This incident began with reports from residents regarding the presence of motorbike thugs who were disturbing to carry out sweeping actions against motorists who passed by the crime scene.

Then, upon arrival at the location, First Brigadier Ihsan along with two other Cireunghas Police officers found a motorcycle fighter in the middle of a convoy.

Officers then tried to disperse them with two warning shots. But instead of disbanding, the motorbike thugs attacked the officers.

"Members of the police found approximately 10 motorcyclists in the middle of the convoy. Then the three police officers tried to stop the convoy to carry out investigations but the two suspected perpetrators tried to escape. However, the police were arrested along with sharp sickle-type weapons," said Rita, Wednesday, September 25.

The police officer did not suspect that there were two motorbike thugs who fought back by slashing a machete from behind against First Brigadier Ihsan. As a result, the victim suffered 5 stitches to the back and 2 stitches to the buttocks.

"The victim was taken to Hermina Hospital, while the two perpetrators were detained at the Cireunghas Police. The perpetrators are two minors. He is 17 years old still in high school," he said.

Three hours later, 11 motorcycle thugs were finally arrested in two different locations, namely in the Cireunghas and Gegerbitung areas of Sukabumi Regency. The other two people are still DPO status.

Meanwhile, the evidence that was successfully secured, two motorbikes and five sharp weapons of various types belonging to the perpetrator, then one Avanza car, six mobile phones and one visum et repertum belonging to the victim.
