Spotify Releases Beta Version AI Playlist Feature In Four New Countries

JAKARTA Spotify began testing the AI Playlist feature in the UK and Australia last April, specifically for Premium users. This new feature still needs to be developed so Spotify will expand its test country.

The music streaming platform announced that the beta version of AI Playlist is already available in the US, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand in English. All Spotify users can access this feature on iOS and Android devices while subscribing to Premium packages.

By launching the beta version of AI Playlist in four new markets, Spotify wants to present the best playlists for users. This feature will provide opportunities for users to express themselves through their preferred music.

"Whether you're really new to this game or a productive playlist creator, this feature offers a fun and easy way to create and compile perfect mixes of music, just for you," Spotify said.

AI Playlist is Spotify's new innovation in combining personalization technology with generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). By combining these two technologies, all users can put their creative ideas into playlists.

The way this feature works is very easy. Users only need to enter commands into chat rooms with unique queries, such as'cheerful pop music for summer holidays' or 'romantic playlists to accompany dinner sessions at home'.

"The more specific you are, the better. The most successful playlist is made with clues that contain mixed genres, moods, artists, or decades, so be creative! You can also refer to places, animals, activities, film characters, colors, and even emojis."

Once the order is received by the system, AI Playlist will search for songs according to orders and include them in the playlist. Spotify will select songs based on user activity or habits.
