Hezbollah Commander Ibrahim Qubaisi Killed In Israeli Attack On Beirut Lebanon

JAKARTA - Israel's airstrike on the southern outskirts killed a Hezbollah commander who is a prominent figure in the rocket's weapons division, two security sources in Lebanon said.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, September 24, the source identified the commander who was killed as Ibrahim Qubaisi.

The attack that killed six people was another blow to an Iran-backed group that has faced a series of setbacks in Israel over the past week.

Pressure on Hezbollah has raised concerns that the conflict, which has been going on for almost a year, will explode and disrupt the stability of oil-producing countries in the Middle East.

Israel attacked the territory of the Lebanese capital that Hezbollah controlled for the second day in a row after launching a new wave of airstrikes against targets in Lebanon.

Hezbollah said they had fired rockets at northern Israel on Tuesday morning.
