Rolls-Royce Reveals Future Strategy, One Of Which Maintains Cullinan V12 Machines

JAKARTA - The global automotive industry is currently faced with uncertain conditions in the pure electric vehicle (EV) segment. This makes some well-known automotive players decide to postpone or withdraw from their plans for complete electrification.

Another manufacturer that has decided to keep the gasoline engine in the next few years is Rolls-Royce. The ultra-luxury auto brand announced it will continue to drive sales of its iconic V12-powered cars until the end of the next decade.

Quoted by Carscoops, Tuesday, September 24, the brand announced that Cullinan's model will continue to survive with a 6.7 liter V12 twin-turbo engine until 2030.

In addition, Rolls-Royce also has plans for the EV Spectre model. The car, which is now the supporter of the brand in the pure electrification segment, is planned to be updated in 2027.

Unfortunately, information about performance, powertrain, features, design, and distance is still unknown. However, it is not impossible that some of these elements are the main focus of Rolls-Royce in presenting the latest Spectre.

In addition, the brand, which is still under the auspices of the BMW Group, also plans to present another EV outside the Spectre. It is stated that this model will be positioned under Cullinan.

This sedan-shaped car will later have a smaller size at a lower price than Cullinan. However, the model will still offer Rolls-Royce comfort. It is likely that this car will launch in early 2027.

It did not say whether this model would later share a powertrain with Spectre now, but it is likely that manufacturers will use batteries and electric motors with advanced technology compared to today.

The model will be one of the important assets for manufacturers because it will be the successor to Phantom. This means that Rolls-Royce will have a huge burden to introduce it with the same characteristics as this iconic name.
