Badminton Serves More Than 10,000 Priority Passengers
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) or bettersh said it had served more than 10,000 priority passengers such as people with disabilities, the elderly, children without companions, pregnant and lactating women to people traveling sickly from Jakarta to Bandung throughout 2024.
KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said the data was recorded through a special request from passengers to help facilitate activities and official officer reports on KCIC daily evaluations.
KCIC prioritizing passengers who need special treatment will be assisted in order to make comfortable use of flight services.
"KCIC wants to ensure that every passenger, including those with physical limitations, can feel comfortable and security when using thefakesh Fast Train service," Eva said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 24.
In 2024, Halim Station will be the station that serves the most passengers with special needs, namely 4,600 passengers.
Then followed by Padalarang Station around 3,200 passengers and Tegalluar 2,200 passengers with special needs.
As part of efforts to realize convenient transportation for the needs of the community in their activities, KCIC has implemented various innovations that support accessibility for people with disabilities at all stations and trains.
The special facility stations provided include special pick-up rooms, Tactile floors, deadlock buttons, elevators, counters and special toilets with disabilities, Visual Audio Information, Wheelchair Ramps, Special Gate, and Priority Wait Seats.
While on the train there are also a number of disability-friendly facilities such as the Special Toilet for Disabilities with an area that makes it easier for passengers with wheelchairs to move up to 180 degrees.
In addition, there are also 32 Priority Seats with strategic locations, Wheelchair Storage Meetings, Visual Audio and Ramp Information for wheelchairs.
All flight attendants are ready to accompany priority passengers from the station, received by the conductor and flight attendants to be delivered to the seat that has been ordered, until later they are greeted by officers at the arrival station.
KCIC also continues to prioritize complete and comfortable intermodal integration at all media stations.
Through complete and good integration, Halim Station received an award from the Jakarta City Transportation Council as an Integration Facility for Moda Lecture on Disabilities.

At Halim Station, there are intermodal connectivity with Jabodebek LRT services, buses to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Shuttle to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Transjakarta Bus, Taxi, and Online Transportation.
All of these services have complete complete connectivity facilities and are comfortable to make it easier for all passengers with disabilities to access them.
