Jokowi Calls Prabowo Will Downstream Agriculture To Food
MEMPAWAH - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that downstreaming will not stop in the mineral and coal sector (minerba) but will also spread to other sectors.
Joko Widodo said that he had met the elected president, Prabowo Subianto, to discuss what sectors would be downstreamed so as to provide added value to domestic natural resource commodities.
"I have had a long discussion with the elected President, Pak Prabowo, which later he will also start to be sterilized for the agriculture, plantation, and marine sectors, meaning that the food sector will also enter the downstream process," Jokowi said when met by the media crew after inaugurating the first bauxite injection for the SGAR project in Mempawah, West Kalimantan, Tuesday, September 24.
With downstreaming, Jokowi continued, Indonesia no longer needs to export raw materials so that all commodities can be processed domestically and provide added value.
"The added value is in the country, the job opportunity is in the country, and it doesn't just stop at Minerba," he continued.

As for the mineral and coal sectors, Joko Widodo said that Indonesia still has commodities that must be carried out downstream in the future, one of which is tin.
Tak hanya tin, RI juga akan memanfaatkan cadangan besar komoditas batu bara yang akan dihilirisasi yakni melalui gasifikasi batu bara atau Dimethyl Ether (DME).
"Everyone. Those who haven't, all. Tin, not yet. Coal to become DME gas, not yet. I think we can still do a lot of opportunities," said Jokowi.
