TANGERANG - The General Election Commission (KPU) has draw and determined the number of two candidate pairs (Paslon) for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) in the 2024 Pilkada.
The result of the draw, the incumbent pair Benyamin Davnie and Pilar Saga Ichsan got serial number 1, while Ruhamaben and Shinta Wahyuni Chairuddin got serial number 2.
"After taking the number. Then the minutes were signed," said South Tangerang KPU Chairman Muhammad Taufiq Mizan to reporters, Monday, September 23.
Taufiq explained that the stages of drawing serial numbers in the simultaneous Pilkada were carried out to determine the candidate pair serial number.
Not only that, the importance of candidate pair serial numbers is as the identity of the contestants in campaign props to all activities while campaigning.
"The serial numbers are the identities of each candidate pair," he said.
After officially getting the serial number, each candidate can carry out the campaign within a predetermined time.
The 2024 Pilkada campaign schedule is set by the KPU through KPU Regulation Number 2 of 2024, which explains that the campaign will be held from September 25, 2024 to November 23, 2024.
Then, the voting will be held on Wednesday 27 November. Subsequently, the vote count and vote count recapitulation will begin on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 - Monday, December 16, 2024.
