Police Investigate Cause Of Surya Bali Bus Accident In Pati That Killed 6 People
The police are still investigating the cause of the accident between the Surya Bali Bus and two tronton trucks on Jalan Pantura Pati, Central Java, in Batangan District which resulted in the death of six people.
"Currently, the accident is still in the process of being investigated, while the crime scene (TKP) has also been carried out to determine the cause of the accident," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Central Java Police, Kombes Sonny Irawan, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 23.
According to him, the width of the road and lighting is very good, while the temporary cause is possible because the bus driver is sleepy.
To determine the cause of the driver's sleepiness, he said, his staff was conducting an investigation, whether he was sleepy because he didn't have a break or working hours.
As for the chronology of the accident, it started when the Surya Bali Bus carrying 30 passengers drove from the east or Bali to Jepara then from the west or the opposite direction there were two tronton trucks that went hand in hand.
When at the scene, the bus swerved to the right and hit the back of the right side of the first truck, then the bus continued to drive and hit the second tronton truck again.
Due to this incident, the number of victims who died as of Monday (23/9) afternoon was six people.
Among them, bus drivers and assistants, three passengers, and the second tronton truck driver also died.
Of the six victims who died, three died at the scene, while the other three victims after undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the injured victims were undergoing treatment at the hospital and the Juwana Health Center.

However, he said, suddenly the bus immediately swerved to the right and hit the rear right truck body which was driven to transport tissue, again hit the truck behind it.
"I was driving to replace my father. Meanwhile, the truck I carried was a tissue," he said.
