JAKARTA - A viral video spread across the timeline showing the rearview mirror of a unit of Honda CR-V e: HEV melts when the SUV is parked outside the building.

In a video uploaded to social media by the owner of the TikTok account @buyung123yb, components such as grips and mirrors on this hybrid car melt when they are parked. This raises a variety of responses that question the quality of Honda cars.

"This is a new car, how come it's like this, a hybrid car. Did someone experience something like this or not?" asked the recorder in the video.

After the video was published, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) as the sole agent of Honda brand holder in the country, immediately gave an official statement.

Sales and Marketing & Aftersales Director of PT HPM Yusak Billy, said that his party had received the report and stated that Honda vehicles have the highest quality that prioritizes the safety and comfort of their users.

"You need to say that all Honda vehicles have gone through very strict quality testing according to standards before being marketed," Billy said in his official statement, Monday, September 23.

Billy said that his party was investigating the problems experienced by one of the CR-V users because in the video description there was no clear cause and chronology of the incident. He also admitted that events that had never been found before in Indonesia.

"Honda will communicate with car owners and video makers to conduct an in-depth investigation and confirm what really happened," added Billy.

He also emphasized that his party would seriously handle the problem until an appropriate solution was found and would provide further updates after the results of the investigation were completed.

"We will immediately provide further updates once the results of the investigation are complete," concluded Billy.
