Aston Martin Collaboration Releases Gold-coated DB5 24 Karat Commemorating 60 Years Of James Bond Film
JAKARTA In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the iconic James Bond film, Goldfinger, the Agora Models-scale car manufacturer in collaboration with the producers of the 007 Eon Productions and Aston Martin launched the limited edition of the 24 carat gold-plated Aston Martin DB5.
Agora Models itself is a company that produces vehicle models, particularly scale car models. They are known for their highly detailed and high-quality products, often collaborating with well-known car brands to create highly accurate and highly valuable replicas.
In this latest collaboration, only seven units of the gold-plated Aston Martin DB5 model will be produced, and each unit is equipped with a functioning seat.
Launching Road & Track and the Agora Models website, September 23, the size of the gold-plated Aston Martin DB5 has a 1:8 scale or 1 shot8 smaller than its original size and priced at 24,999 (around Rp504 million) and will be sold on October 5, 2024, also known as "James Bond Day".

In addition to a 24-carat gold coating that adorns the body, engine hoods, doors, baggage, seat roof panels, fuel caps, and protective shield edges, this model is also equipped with a variety of well-known gadgets from the film, including serviceable seat launchers, rotating number plates, and protective shields.
Another additional feature is the machine gun that extends from behind the lights with the effect of gunshots and lubricant jets extending from behind the back light.
Aston Martin DB5 in this collaboration consists of about 500 parts and weighs about 6 kilograms. The gold itself is Fairminated Gold which ensures a high quality mining rate and is covered in gold by an expert at St Paul's Mint, England.
Each unit will be numbered from 001 to 007 and will be equipped with a certificate of authenticity. These models will also be sent with a limited edition protective box and plaque.
Well, although it will start on October 5, as Goldfinger's anniversary year, the delivery of these models will only begin in the summer of 2025.
