Pelindo Regional 4 Records The Growth Of Ship Visit Flows Of Six Percent

JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 recorded positive growth in the flow of ship visits until the beginning of the second semester of 2024 by 6 percent or to 296,358,996 Gross tonnage (GT) compared to the same period in 2023.

"The positive thing for all operational performance achievements is consolidated with a fairly good upward trend compared to the same period last year," said Executive Director 4 of Pelindo Regional 4 Abdul Azis as quoted by Antara in Makassar, Sunday.

He mentioned that the significant growth in performance of the consolidated results came from the achievement of goods flow, which was 7.4 percent, from 29,284,905 tons/m3 at the beginning of the second semester of last year, to 50,952,723 tons/m3 until the beginning of the second semester of this year.

As for the growth of container flow, there has been an increase in performance on a consolidated basis of 11 pedh BBM or to 1,624,560 TEUs until the beginning of the second semester of this year.

In terms of the flow of ship passengers, on a consolidated basis, Pelindo Regional 4 also recorded a growth of a percent. Compared to the beginning of the second semester of last year, in the same period this year the number of ship passengers who boarded and fell in all managed ports in Region 4 to 4,835,965 people.

He said this achievement was certainly the result of the hard work and commitment of all Pelindo Management to provide the best service to customers and support the national economy, especially in Eastern Indonesia (KTI).
