Construction Of Meninting Dam In West Lombok Reaches 91.12 Percent

The progress of the Meninting Dam construction in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, has reached 91.12 percent.

"The progress of physical work as of September 18 reached 91.12 percent," said the Head of BWS Nusa Tenggara, Tampang, on the sidelines of accompanying the Acting Governor of NTB Hassanudin to review the construction of the Meninting Dam in Bukit Tinggi Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok, in a written statement received by journalists, Sunday, September 22.

He said the Meninting Dam was one of the national strategic projects. The water capacity of this dam is a maximum of 12 million cubic meters with a water inundation area of 53.6 hectares.

"For your benefit, it is able to irrigate 1,559.29 hectares of irrigation including Penimbung irrigation, including 150 liters/second to partially cover Mataram and West Lombok and 0.8 MW for Hydro Micro Power Plants (PLTMH)," he also said.

Lihat menambahkan, Bendungan Meninting masih menjadi rencana pemisimasi oleh Presiden Joko Widodo pada Oktober mendatang, tetapi belum ada kepastian.

"We and the team work 24 hours consisting of morning, afternoon and night shifts in accelerating the work process," he said.

Acting Governor of NTB Hassanudin expressed his appreciation for the maximum work in the process of working on a mega construction project for the Meninting Dam.

"I am sure that the team has all worked optimally, according to the planned plan to achieve the target," he also said.

As the government, he said again, of course, it provides support for the success of the construction of the Meninting Dam as proof of the government's presence in realizing the 5th precept.

"Whatever is being done is a realization of the 5th principle, namely Social Justice for All Indonesian People. To improve the level of progress and welfare," he said again.
