KPU Sets The Cagub-cawagub Pair For The DKI Regional Head Election Today, Draw Number Urut Tomorrow Night
JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI has appointed a candidate pair for governor and deputy governor in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada), Sunday, September 22.
"Today at 09.00 WIB, we plan to determine the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta," said Head of the Jakarta KPU Socialization, Education and Community Participation Division, Astri Megatari, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, September 22.
Astri said this stage is a continuation of the nominations starting in May 2024 and for individual candidates on 27-29 August 2024.
The series starts from the registration process, health checks, administrative research and community responses.
"After the results of the public's response are clarified, we will then plenary and then make a determination for the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta," he explained.
Then, he added, Monday, September 23 at 19.00 WIB.
"This serial number will later become serial number when they campaign," he said.
This serial number collection scheme follows the Indonesian KPU mechanism which equates to the draw for the Presidential Election number (Pilpres).

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Jakarta has stated that the three pairs of candidates (paslon) for the governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta meet the administrative requirements to run in the 2024 Pilkada which will be held on November 27, 2024.
The three candidate pairs are Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel), Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (Rido) and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent.
The following is the schedule for the 2024 Pilkada:
27 February-16 November 2024: notification and registration of election monitor; 24 April-31 May 2024: submission of a list of potential voters; 5 May-19 August 2024: fulfillment of the support requirements for individual candidate pairs; 31 May-23 September 2024: updating and compiling of voter lists; 24-26 August 2024: announcement of candidate pair registration; 27-29 August 2024: registration of candidate pairs; 27 August-21 September 2024: candidate requirements research; 22 September 2024: determination of candidate pairs; 25 September-23 November 2024: campaign implementation; 27 November 2024: voting; 27 November-16 December 2024: vote count and recapitulation of vote count results.
