Director General Of Aptika Kominfo Invites Esports Gamers For Literacy Of Online Judicial Victims

JAKARTA - Members of the Indonesian Electronic Sports (AOEI) held a mobile legends tournament held in JakBistro in the Sunter area, North Jakarta. The tournament, which was held on Saturday, September 21, was crowded with participants.

Young people, especially those who are used to playing mobile legends landing, are fighting for the 1st to 3rd place winners with a fairly large nominal prize.

Director General of Aptika (Informatics Application) of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), Tomky Situngkir said that his party appreciates positive activities like this in the midst of young people's activities because not a few have fallen into negative things.

"We hope that from all the enthusiasm in the state's E-sports we can attend, both offline and online," Hokky told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday, September 21.

Hokky also explained that currently online gambling is rife and the government is really monitoring and eradicating it. This is because online gambling shows things that are manipulative in gaming but actually gambling games.

"Indonesia is currently in a battle against online gambling. And online gambling often deceives and manipulates the public as if they were a game," he explained.

Therefore, he advised his friends from E-sport players and other digital games to be able to educate people who are trapped and have even been manipulated by the online gambling agency.

"So that the E-sport players can provide literacy to the public. So that it becomes a guide for digital games," he explained.

Hokky said, in the digital world there are 4 pillars that must be strengthened. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of gamers and esport players to give literacy to young and colleagues in the world of digitalization.

"In the digital world, there are 4 axes, including digital culture, skills, ethics and digital safety. Therefore, the healthy way is to guide these pillars," he said.

To note previously this event took place with the enthusiasm of extraordinary participants. In addition, there was also the General Chairperson of AOEI, Julia Rezeki, who accompanied the activities from the beginning until the end. In Medan North Sumatra, activities like this have been taking place and held as of 140 times, for mobile legends and PUBG tournaments
