WhatsApp Presents The'Channel Category' Feature To Make It Easy For Users

JAKARTA - The WhatsApp application presents a new feature called the Channel Category to make it easier for users to search and find the channel they like.

According to a press statement from WhatsApp Indonesia, quoted by Antara, Saturday, September 21, the Channel Category consists of categories of people, organizations, lifestyles, sports, entertainment, business, and news and information.

Users who want to take advantage of this feature can go to the Update tab and then select Explore in the Channel option to see all relevant categories and channels.

Channels or Channels on WhatsApp have been released for more than a year. Now, every month about 500 million people worldwide use this feature and enjoy information from various channels.

When introduced, Channels are described as a simple and private way for application users to receive the latest information from people and organizations that are of direct interest on WhatsApp.

People who become channel admins can send content in the form of text, photos, videos, and stickers to interactive content such as polls.

Users can follow a Channel from an invitation link sent via conversation, email, or online upload.

WhatsApp guarantees the security and privacy of users who become channel admins to share information with their followers by not displaying phone numbers and profile photos to followers.

When the user follows a Channel on WhatsApp, the phone number will also not be disclosed to the admin or other followers.

In addition, admins have the option to block screenshots and messages forwarded from a Channel to maintain channel privacy.
